About Howarth Morris

Progressing businesses, progressing careers

Co-Owner and Director

Discover the stories from the individuals and organisations whose recruitment needs we’ve successfully met.

Before starting my career in recruitment, I worked within construction for 10 years – initially as a project accountant, before moving into project management.

Now, I’ve worked in recruitment for nearly 20 years.

I started my recruitment career in 2000 with a major international PLC, quickly progressing into a Senior Management role where I developed extensive financial and commercial recruitment experience – both in industry and professional practice across the UK & Europe, with a particular focus on the North West of England.

When it comes to my day-today, I wear a range of hats within the business but all our Directors still recruit on a daily basis.

I always strive to provide a proactive and pragmatic approach based on my knowledge and understanding of the market built up over 20 years.

Never afraid to offer an informed opinion but always with a view to a supportive solution to a problem, offered with courtesy and respect. And a bit of humour.

I’m proud of the way Howarth Morris are still focussed on providing the same supportive, progressive and knowledgeable approach to every client and candidate today as we did when we first started in business. Ensuring every piece of advice and work is centred on our clients and candidates and their goals.

Working with integrity and honesty is key to everything we do and our growth has never changed those values.

1 – What is your tipple of choice?

Earl Grey tea, Guinness, and a good Amarone – probably in that order in terms of quantities consumed.

2 – If you could share a meal with any 4 individuals, living or dead, who would they be?

Joe Strummer; Steinbeck; Charles Rennie Mackintosh; Zinzan Brooke (rugby player – my son’s middle name is Zinzan!) and Vic & Bob in support if they were unavailable.

3 – What book would you recommend?

Shoe Dog by Phil Knight (but still a sucker for To Kill a Mockingbird).
