Recruitment consultancy Howarth Morris is reaching out to charities across the North West by providing their services free of charge in an effort to support their local communities.

Howarth Morris – which specialises in the Finance, Accountancy and HR sectors – is now calling out to charities and urging them to take advantage of their initiative and strengthen their finance and HR management teams.

The company has also changed its logo to say thank you to key workers and has adapted its slogan to express its new focus on the charitable sector. They are aiming to fulfil up to 40 charitable roles by the end of the year and are now actively looking for small (revenues under £1m) registered charities who could benefit from their expertise.

With the recruitment industry affected significantly by coronavirus, Howarth Morris has been working flexibly and strategically since the pandemic started in order to continue supporting their clients and meeting their needs. They have a specialist video interviewing platform – HMVantage – which allows them to appraise and hire candidates remotely. While social distancing regulations remain in place, it is this software that will allow Howarth Morris to help so many charitable organisations.

Bruce Moran, Co-Owner and Director at Howarth Morris, commented that: “Obviously the recruitment sector has felt the negative ripples caused by coronavirus, but what is more concerning is that small charities that do such valuable work have been impacted by something completely out of their control.

“Current circumstances initially made it difficult for us to offer meaningful help to our communities, but we soon decided to change our logo to express our thanks to all key workers. However, we wanted to go one step further and realised that our expertise in HR and Finance recruitment could be a significant help for many charities across the region.

“We recognise that some charities may not have recruitment needs at this moment in time, which is why we have extended our offering so that it lasts until the end of the year. We are excited about the challenge posed by this new initiative and are looking forward to working with new organisations and finding solutions for their recruitment problems.”

Howarth Morris was established in 2007 and has offices in Manchester, Liverpool and Warrington. Their slogan, ‘Progressing Businesses – Progressing Careers – Supporting Our Community’ reflects their commitment to helping their clients’ businesses to thrive, their candidates to succeed, and their communities to be sustained.
