My client is a well established and highly regarded with around 800 staff across 8 North West sites.
For a number of years the Group has used an outsourced payroll provider for the processing of their payroll, with the support of the HR Department. But this is beginning to prove less efficient, accurate and cost effective as time moves on.
Therefore the decision has been made to create and create a new role to bring the payroll process back in house and manage the function going forward. There are effectively two stages: implementation; and ongoing production/processing. It is a really interesting opportunity within an incredibly stable organisation.
Post implementation it is anticipated there will be the recruitment of an Assistant and a more defined profile of support from the HR team who are currently overwhelmed with payroll queries!
The successful will be a proven payroll professional; you will have managed a team; developed processes; and ideally been heavily involved in an implementation.
