£40000 - £45000

Study support (as required), 25 days holiday, 3% Pension, Healthcare plan

Stand alone, all-encompassing Accountant opportunity with a pioneering, award winning business based on the outskirts of Liverpool (towards Speke). Reporting directly to the business owners with some support from the external firm of accounts (Payroll & Year End Accounts), your remit will include:  
  • Monthly Management Accounts (Sage 50)
  • Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet
  • Variance analysis with narrative
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Management Information & KPI reporting
  • Development of financial and operational reports to meet evolving business demands
  • Accounts Payable/Purchase Ledger
  • Accounts Receivable/Sales Ledger
  • Credit Control
  • Daily cashflow reporting and cash management
  • Providing support to the Management Team on any financial matters.
  • Controlling and forecasting income and expenditure.
  • Bank reconciliations/ Credit card reconciliations.
  • VAT Returns, Exports, EC Sales list
  • Development of best practice controls, processes and procedures.  
Applicants will have previously operated in a standalone Accountant role, preferably for an SME Manufacturing business (Sub £10m t/o) and will be familiar with all aspects of finance and accounting in Sage 50. You will have an engaging personality and the communication skills and gravitas required to forge strong business relationships at all levels. This is outstanding career opportunity to join a highly regarded, pioneering business on an exciting growth trajectory that should see this Accountant role progress to Financial Controller (managing a team of 1) in approx. 3 years. Part Qualified or Qualified AAT, CIMA, ACA or ACCA finance professionals are preferred but this is not essential as personality and experience are considered more important credentials.
