Financial Controller

£38000 - £42000
Reporting directly to the Managing Director.
Responsible for all accounting activities within the group.
Pension 3-6%, 25 days hols, Flexitime, Hybrid Working, BUPA.

We are currently recruiting a Financial Controller for an industry-renowned £15m t/o Construction business in Warrington. The business are market leaders, pioneering innovative methods which has seen exponential growth across the NorthWest. The role will report directly to the Managing Director, leading a small team with ownership of all accounting activities for the group and its subsidiaries. The remit includes:  
  • No 1 in Finance Reporting to the Managing Director
  • Responsible for all accounting activities within the group
  • Overseeing AP, AR, and Payroll functions
  • Preparation of monthly and annual reports for subsidiaries and Group
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Variance Analysis
  • Business Partnering with the Senior Management Team
  • Preparation of statutory accounts
  • Overseeing statutory audit VAT/CIS/PAYE reporting for the group
  • Overseeing accounting systems and improvement of internal controls
  • Cash management
  • Company secretarial duties  
Applicants will ideally be Fully Qualified although Finalists or “QBE” with relevant experience/sector knowledge will also be considered. Detailed knowledge of Financial and Management Accounting is essential as is advanced MS Excel. Benefits include a salary of ~£40,000 (Could be some flexibility dependant on experience), Pension 3% rising to 6%, 25 days hols plus bank holidays, BUPA private health, Income protection, DIS, Office hours 7.5 h per day – flexi around core hours, Hybrid working, Part time will be considered. Candidates available at short notice would be of particular interest.
