Broad FA role, reporting directly to the Financial Controller
Scope for development and future progression
Hybrid Working, Flexi-time, 27 days hols, Pension to 9%

We are currently recruiting for a Qualified (or later stage active studier) Financial Accountant for one of the UKs largest Housing Associations. Working closely with the Financial Controller your remit will include:
  • Supporting the preparation of the groups external reporting including statutory accounts, strategic and Value for Money reporting
  • Providing robust and effective financial support across the Group
    Supporting with the production of subsidiary annual financial statements for external audit - reporting to Group Boards and Board Committees and external filing as required
  • Ongoing development of robust financial controls and procedures
    Assisting with Group VAT and tax returns for consolidation/external submission to statutory bodies
  • Maintaining General Ledger reconciliations
  • Group consolidations of management information including key financial performance indicators, budgets, forecasts and plans
  • Assisting with the production and management of the group’s business plan and subsidiary business plans
Applicants will ideally be Fully Qualified - although later stage active studiers will also be considered – who have previously worked in a financial reporting/accounting department – ideally for a Housing Association or a similar sector. You will have good commercial awareness and the ability to build strong business partnering relationships across a broad audience of key stakeholders.
