Excellent Accountant opportunity with a young, dynamic, rapidly expanding, £11m t/o SME business based in the North Liverpool area.  Reporting to the (part time) Head of Finance, in a role created due to company expansion, you will manage one accounts assistant whilst taking responsibility for:  
  • Monthly Management Accounts, P&L and Balance Sheet (in Xero)
  • Variance Analysis and reporting
  • Management Information and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting
  • Sales & Margin analysis – by product and customer
  • Business Partnering
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Journals
  • International VAT
  • Stock reporting
  • Cost analysis and control
  • Payroll
  • Ad hoc analysis and reporting
Although our client is flexible re qualifications - as relevant skills, experience and personality are more important factors - AAT Qualified and/or Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA will be of particular interest. You will have excellent communication and relationship building skills and will be focussed and organised with the ability to work to tight deadlines in a demanding and fast paced environment. Joining this young, rapidly expanding, entrepreneurial business, applicants will ideally have a track record of the ongoing development of best practice financial controls and procedures and effective financial reporting capabilities to meet evolving business demand. Experience of Xero would be advantageous. A competitive salary of £35-40k (could possibly be some flexibility), is complimented with benefits including Study Support (as required), Hybrid working - 3 days Office 2 Days home (more time in the office initially to settle into the role), Flexible working, 0900-1700, 0800-1600, 23 days holiday and excellent prospects. ** This role could be full or part time **
