Description

This is an outstanding opportunity for a Part Qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA Accountant to join an award winning owner-managed £8m t/o SME Manufacturer. Joining the team as the No 2 in Finance, you will report to a CIMA Qualified Financial Controller and will responsible for a small ledger and credit control team, with your responsibilities including:

  • Preparation of the Monthly Management Accounts, Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet
  • Variance analysis & reporting
  • Preparation of the MI & KPI reporting pack
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Work in Progress/Project Accounting
  • Absorption cost control & reporting
  • Labour utilisation analysis & reporting
  • VAT returns
  • Accruals & Prepayments
  • Journals
  • Ensuring letter of credit control and compliance
  • EC Sales & Intrastat
  • Assist with Audit queries when required
  • Additional duties depending the experience/level of the successful applicant

Applicants will have broad management and financial accounting experience and will be keen/ambitious with the desire to develop and progress. You will have excellent people/communication skills with the proven ability to forge strong business partner relationships with a diverse range of colleagues up to board level. Previous staff management responsibility and Sage 200 knowledge is preferred but not essential. This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable and successful business in a highly visible and autonomous Management Accountant. A competitive salary (£25-32k depending on experience and level of qualification) is complimented with benefits including Pension (4%), Health cover, 20 days holiday, and a 37.5 hr week - with flexitime around core hours - and the opportunity to finish at lunchtime each Friday.
