Financial Accountant

My client is the UK Head Office of a European Group specialising in hi-tech manufacturing and engineering.

Dealing with an international client base they have seen orders increase over the past 12 months and now recognise the need to grow the team with the recruitment of a Financial Accountant.

Reporting to the FC your duties will have a focus around control and responsibility of the balance sheet, as well as working closely with the parent company in the agreement of intercompany transactions and balances.

You will also have the scope to work with the FC in reviewing all existing processes and procedures to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the finance department - locally and in the relationship with Group.

The successful candidate is likely to be either nearing or recently completed Qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) and be able to identify and improve control weaknesses whilst also being able to support and communicate the business through partnering. There is a volume of financial data and a complex costing and currency matrix, so experience of SAP and a high level of Excel capability are key.
