Part-time Payroll Assistant

My SME client in Sale are looking for a part-time Payroll Assistant to join their small but friendly team. You will have full responsibility from start to finish and working closely with Finance Manager. Ideally suiting someone looking for 25 hours a week but this could evolve into a full time position as the business grows.

Payroll Assistant Duties:

• Process the payroll for employees on a weekly and fortnightly basis
• Processing new starter and leavers and ensuring all documentation is correct and compliant with legislation
• Processing employee SSP, SPP, SMP, SAP and National Insurance as well as processing and deducting pension contribution
• Processing any necessary expenses
• Processing P45s and P60's / Processing Attachment of Earnings
• Processing payment of wages to employee bank accounts
• Liaising and supporting Area Managers on any wage amendments
• Attend meetings with other departments as necessary to aid personal and business development
• Keeping up to date with payroll and HMRC regulations
• Preparing and collating regular reports for various areas of the business
• Communicating with the Finance Manager and performing ad-hoc payroll duties as requested
• Processing payrolls and documentation for approximately 200 employees

Payroll Assistant Requirements:

• Good attention to detail
• IT literate
• Experience in a similar role
• Must have at least 2 years Payroll experience
• Good communication skills
