s is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Accountant/FC to join 3m t/o SME business based on the outskirts of Speke/Widnes. Joining the team in a stand-alone, all-encompassing finance role you will report directly to the Managing Director with a broad remit including:
- Preparation of the Monthly Management Accounts, Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet
- Variance analysis & reporting
- MI & KPI reporting
- Business Partnering with the senior management team
- Bank Reconciliations
- VAT returns
- Accruals & Prepayments
- EC Sales & Intrastat
- Stock control
- Purchase Ledger
- Sales Ledger
- Credit control
Our client is flexible In terms of the qualification level of applicants and considers the size of the company and scope of the role means the position will probably better suit an AAT Qualified Accountant or someone not qualified but who has operated at a similar level previously for a similar size SME. The role is supported by the companies external firm of accountants - who provide support across statutory/year end accounts, payroll and budgeting - and with the business growing slowly but steadily there is the scope for the successful applicant to recruit an accounts assistant in 2021 to provide transactional level support.
Applicants will have broad financial and management experience gained at an SME business level and will have ideally previously operated as the No 1 in finance. You will have excellent people/communication skills and the proven ability to forge strong business partner relationships with a diverse range of colleagues up to board level. This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable and successful business in an autonomous Accountant/Financial Controller role.
