Job Description

Our client, an award winning e-commerce business who are going through an exciting period of change and transition, are looking to bring in an Accounts Assistant to strengthen the finance team.

You will be an experienced Accounts Assistant with solid ledger experience and good excel skills who's keen on undertaking a progressive role, developing your skills to get increasingly involved with supporting AR, Commercial Reporting and Management Accounts too. This will offer some variety, being accountable to the Commercial Finance Manager.

Study support will also be offered!

Your responsibilities will include:

• Sales reporting
• Raising sales invoices and credit notes
• Taking electronic payments
• Posting bank payments to customer accounts
• Managing account maintenance
• Coding and posting invoices
• Customer query resolution
• Credit control
• Credit card reconciliations, liaising with the buying team
• Support preparation of weekly and monthly commercial reports
• Ad hoc duties assisting Group accountant and Commercial Finance manager
• Assisting with balance sheets reconciliations
• Journal postings as required
• Assisting with preparation of management accounts
• Credit card reconciliations, liaising with the buying team

Role Requirements

• Ideally AAT part/fully qualified, and willing to progress further
• Strong excel skills
• Good interpersonal skills, somebody who will ask for support when required
