Accounts Assistant

Job Description

A highly reputable and successful organisation based in Liverpool are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join them during an exciting period of expansion due to recent company investment.
Reporting directly to the Finance Controller and working amongst a friendly and supportive Finance department within a fast paced and dynamic work environment, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with quarterly accounts preparation
  • Multiple bank reconciliations
  • Journal postings
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with the purchase and sales ledger process
  • Providing support on VAT queries
  • Responding with import and export queries
  • Reporting on Excel as required
  • Any other duties as required by the Finance department

Applicants will have previous Accounts Assistant experience and will be experienced in handling a variety of accounts duties and to tight deadlines. You will be comfortable working on your own initiative and as part of a team and will have excellent written, verbal and IT skills including the regular use of MS Excel. My client is looking for applicants who are AAT qualified or equivalent, however will consider applicants who have proven experience of carrying out the duties above.
