As part of its ongoing evolution, my client has fantastic opportunity for a Group HR Manager.
Reporting directly to the Board, you will have a true HR Generalist role, providing professional and effective day-to-day advice on every aspect of HR Management. This will extend to all aspects of Employee Relations including performance management, disciplinary, grievance and capability issues, leading on complex cases, including conciliation and employment tribunals. Furthermore, you oversee recruitment, selection and induction and ensure strict compliance with all HR Policies and Procedures. As Group HR Manager, you will also establish and maintain HR administrative and information systems, assist in managing trade union relationships, work with the outsourced payroll provider and support organisational development and change management projects. You will also be expected to undertake occasional travel between different sites in Manchester and Merseyside.
You will be working with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external. Therefore, communication is key. You will demonstrate drive and initiative, and possess an equable temperament and positive mind-set. You will operate with integrity, diplomacy, and a holistic approach. The successful candidate will be CIPD Qualified or possess equivalent experience in an HR Generalist role, including detailed knowledge of employment law, policies, practices and procedures (within an educational environment). Experience of working in an HR role in a complex unionised environment with varying types of employment disciplines is also advantageous.
