Description

Our client is one of Merseysides most established and highly regarded legal firms currently enjoying steady growth across a number of its area of expertise. Reporting directly to the Partner/ Corporate Accountant you will have responsibility for managing & supporting the finance team, ensuring the timely & accurate processing of key financial areas, ensuring SAR compliance and developing modern/effective controls and procedures to meet the evolving demands of the business. Responsibilities will include:

  • Authorisation of Telegraphic Transfers
  • Assisting with the maintenance and preparation of bank reconciliations on both client and office accounts
  • Managing the purchase ledger - dealing with suppliers as required
  • Residual balances and client suspense
  • Managing daily cash flow reports
  • Assisting in maintaining fixed asset register and depreciation journal
  • Daily client to office transfer
  • Managing out of date cheques
  • Supervising company credit cards
  • Managing the month end processes
  • Calculating monthly bonuses
  • Liaising with the bank
  • Assisting with Audit reporting
  • Ad hoc duties as required

Our client is looking for a proven finance manager with previous experience in a similar profile role and whilst they are flexible re finance qualifications prior knowledge of the legal sector and solicitors rules is essential. You will have sound financial accounting experience and a proven track record of being able to forge strong business relationships with colleagues at all level to Board level. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a very successful, highly regarded business in a broad and fulfilling role based within a friendly, stable and supportive team in impressive offices in the city centre and whilst there is no parking on site, the offices are based within 5 minutes walk of the train station network. A base salary of £30-35k is complimented with benefits including Healthcare, Life Assurance, Pension, 25 days holiday (rising to 30 after 5 years, 0900-1730.
